Keeping this short: for everyone who has been getting error 1001 on the title screen after updating Pokèmon Champions to play the new Regulation on September 8: they added device attestation. You gotta turn that on on your emulator or on your perfectly normal, privacy friendly, phone if you’re on Lineage OS or any other non-Google approved OS.

What’s device attestation?

SafetyNet, Google Integrity API, all names for the same thing: a way for apps to ask Google permission before letting you use your phone.

I tend to always want to go buy the shiny new gadget. That, when looking for a homelab, tends to meaning dropping quite a good buck. After being made fun from a couple of peers for buying new HW for my PFsense router, rather than fashioning one out of scraps, I chose to buy a second-hand thinkcentre for my new Proxmox server - space is now a constraint, and my old tower server was too big for the new house.

L’invasione.

Il pregresso, nel post mancante, è che ho piantato rosmarino, salvia, basilico ed erba cipollina sul balcone, riempiendo due dei dieci vasi che avevo appena finito di pulire con l’idropulitrice. Poi, siccome dovevo star via una settimana (e perchè sono pigra) ho messo in piedi un bellissimo sistema di irrigazione con l’aiuto di un valoroso commesso del Leroy Merlin. Infine, siccome ero in pena per le piantine, le ho anche fatte visitare a metà settimana e mi sono fatta mandare le foto per assicurarmi che stessero bene.

The Anet A8 is a bit of a relic of times gone by, what with the Anet having failed and generally being way behind modern printers in terms of features.

That said, I got mine in 2020 as my first printer, and I’ve since tuned it into a fine powerhorse. It’s still going great, and I’m always looking for further ways to improve it.

Why did I pick Klipper as the next upgrade?

The Anet has a 8-bit board, the ATmega1284P. I had long since upgraded Anet’s stock (and faulty!) firmware into a more sanely configured Marlin 1.9, but the board itself prevented it from being a satisfying solution forever.
