About me

I once put up this blog to start collecting information, my research, my hobbies, all of it. I put up one post, and then forgot it.

“I’ll speak when I have something useful to say” has always been a mantra of mine. I have never had a social media presence, nor learnt how to cultivate one. I am a private person, after all, and I tend to be mindful of what I leave around online. This blog, therefore, was meant to be technical only in nature, and present only polished content - which I never finished polishing, so it stayed empty.

Then, some time ago, while I was digging around for some historical artifacts about a student association I was part of, I found the blog of one of our old members. It wasn’t polished, but full of rants and information that was far to identifiable and, more than 10 years later, not necessarily current or useful.

That said, it was a fragment of an internet which I was too young to experience, but old enough to see a glimpse of before it disappeared - one made of real people saying real things with way less pretense. Today, what little had been left of that after the age of social media is being eaten up by the age of AI.

Still, we can’t fight that without real people being real and posting real things, polished or not, important or not. Caring about digital rights and privacy and all these matters is only helpful if one talks about these, and I’ve been remiss in this.

This ain’t a polished blog. This is my mess of stuff. If you ended up here, feel free to dig around and see if there is anything you like.

Peace out,

versus
